Jamie House - ‘Stranger Memories’ 

This series of images by Jamie House seeks to explore peoples memories published online, drawing on issues of representation and privacy.  

The images were produced after befriending people on a variety of different social media sites (whom House had never met before in person), by taking a long exposure of a computer screen as he browsed the images they had posted of themselves, their holidays, memories and celebrations.  The resultant layered images prompt audiences to question how freely we share and disseminate our personal lives. And what will happen to these images when they fade into insignificance to those who put them there?
