Joan Alexander : Shadow Maps
Within this ongoing body of work, Joan Alexander (a recent graduate from the University of Brighton), has sought to document the passage of time. The images at once anchor light to space, attempting to preserve layers of time and light.
‘These experiments atempt to solidify passing light and lift shadows in various ways, to chart and duplicate their ethereality to futiley preserve an ever receding tide line.’
